Helping people become better decision makers
Most decision-making techniques and frameworks are tools. Very few focus on the tool’s user. The best ones do both.
I started Harmonic Decisions because I wanted to formalize and share the things I had been studying on my own with the world. More specificially, I wanted to understand how people made decisions and to help them make better ones. Over the years, I’ve developed a framework that does exactly this by explaining the why, how, and what of decisions.
We make good decisions when we act from the self-conception that we are an sentient instrument, in that we have limited abilities but the free will to use those in whatever capacity we choose. Most of what goes wrong with decisions traces back to getting the two backwards: straining against the limits we can’t change, while neglecting the one thing we can - the choice of how to use them.
This website outlines the broad strokes of the framework, and my offerings surrounding them. More information about me can be found on my personal site (link in the footer), as well as links to other writings and talks I’ve given on decision-making and other topics.
I hope this framework is of value to you. Please get in contact if there’s more I can do for you.
